Simple design and intuitive controls. Any coffee lover can learn how to use this machine. Produces a good espresso, could be better then starbucks once you have played with the settings for your specific bean. Has a “bean shoot” if you want to use an alternate pre-ground coffee bean like a decaf or a darker roast.

You can have it on a timer so that it powers up and warms-up the portafilter for a certain time everyday. Great for people who sleep walk in the morning and don’t like to wait for their coffee. Doesn’t take too long to warm-up if you choose to manually power it on I would say about 5-6 minutes at the most. You definitely need to do at least 1-2 shots before you have a usable espresso machine. The machine automatically cleans the portafilter after every shot and you can even do as many clean cycles as you want by pushing the “water cycle” button.

It’s a good espresso machine for a house with multiple baristas and variety of espresso making experience. If you are the sole barista and want premium espresso don’t buy it.
